SWAC’s Mobile Authentication Tool (‘MAT’) is available to authorized users of the Secure Worker Access Consortium’s trusted community portal. Security professionals use MAT on mobile devices to quickly access members’ records, verify their identity, and validate personal attributes that demonstrate adherence to relevant security and safety policies. This real-time evaluation of policy requirements and individuals’ current certifications helps monitor workforce compliance at all times, at all locations. In the event of increased threat, additional attributes can be added to the access requirements for a given location, immediately impacting the real-time analysis of access rights for members.
If the applicant has successfully completed all the required enrollment steps and background screening, a green light display will indicate active compliance with program criteria defined for a specific location. Each agency location can choose its own unique criteria from SWAC’s broad compliance services (e.g. Secure Worker™, Safe Worker™, Safe Driver™), or specialized customer qualifications. Should any aspect of the individual’s record fail to meet the program requirements at a given location, a prominent red light display will clearly indicate access restrictions.
MAT prominently displays each entrant’s photograph along with the individuals’ physical characteristics (e.g. height, weight, hair, and eye color) to help assure the identity of those attempting access to secure areas by comparing against the individual’s physical presentation. To protect individuals’ privacy rights, the authentication process results in a simple yes/no decision.
The result is perfectly effective access control at unique locations with unique, point-in-time compliance requirements.
